Houston we have a crib

We purchased a crib today. A few days ago my mom said that Pottery Barn had the white crib that I wanted and it was on sale. So today before she went to work she checked to see if they still had it and they did. I will attempt to attach a picture of the crib, but I am new at all this stuff. I am so excited to actually have a crib because that means there will be a baby someday in the crib. I was with my grandfather when my mom told me about the crib so I told him that we are adopting. He was so cute and so excited for us. So the next steps for the nursery are to hopefully paint next weekend and move the bookcases that are in the room. One bookcase is going downstairs and one is going into the office. Oh, and I guess I should take down the beer poster that is hanging in the room. We have a baby picture in the room too, a stork carrying a little bundle in its mouth. That was our first baby item purchased by my mom. I guess I will take some pictures of the nursery coming together. We need to buy a mattress for the crib, one that meets Baba's approval.

A baby is a miraculous gift from God no matter how you receive this precious gift. Whatever way motherhood comes to you it's such a miracle and a true blessing.

Lean on your friends and family during this emotional roller coaster. In the end you will look back on these stressful times and know it was all worth it.

I wish you luck in your adoption process. Always try to keep your head up and a smile on your face. You will be a great mother to some very lucky little bundle of joy.

  3. This is sooooo exciting, Steph!! A crib makes it seem real. I remember when we got our crib and Bruce put it together. I walked by the room and went "whhhhhaaaaaat?" It seemed weird to have one in my house! It's wonderful to know that soon you will have another little person in your home!!! Love you.
