Ok, lets try this link...

Just a little update, we have the chest in the house and it has to be repainted. We will hopefully get it done in the next few weeks. I have found a few places in the room that need the paint touched up. We have to move the bookcase out of the room but we have to find another place to put it.
On another note, I just want to say thanks again to all those who have contacted me about the blog. Your thoughts, prayers and advice are so appreciated.

The link doesn't work
Hi,
I am trying to fix the link, but I'm having trouble copying and pasting.
I did get another call from the agency but they just wanted to know our budget again, but they found it. So yesterday after work I called them back and got all excited, but they had already found the information by the time I spoke to them. I thought for sure it was a call about being shown to a expectant mother. I found out that you do not call them birth mothers until they actually decide to make an adoption plan. So before that they are expectant moms or potential birth moms. Learn something new everyday. Anyway, needless to say I am bummed about not getting a call about being shown. But I will have to continue to be patient even if it kills me:)
Thanks for reading.

The painting is all finished:)
So I just got finished painting the nursery. We are happy with the green, both of us feel better about it. I am thinking that one coat of paint is going to do, but we will see. Next weekend I pick up the chest from Priscilla. I am trying to figure out how we will lay out all the furniture once we get it all. I think I have a good idea, we'll see once we have a chair/rocker.
Last night we went to dinner at PF Chang's on a much needed date. We had such a good time. I think we really should make an effort to get out as much as we can since we don't have to get a babysitter. I also enjoy being able to sleep in on weekends for the time being.
To change the subject just one more time...a fellow blogger came home from Korea yesterday with their son. The whole trip to Korea and bringing their son home was documented on their blog. The story was very inspirational to those of us who are still waiting for our little ones. Hopefully our wait won't be too long. The next couple of months will be busy with traveling so that should keep my mind off the wait, a teeny tiny bit.

mixed thoughts
This post has a lot of different topics. I really just have a couple of random things that I would like to share. First, let me say that I am so thankful for the support of all my family and friends who are reading the blog. I really appreciate the support. The wait for us to have a child has been so long and still continues to be a journey. Along this long journey we have given up a lot. A lot of time, Doctors appointments, surgery, shots, acupuncture and lots more. We have given up dreams, a child that would be a combination of the two of us, the loss of a baby growing in my belly, the loss of more than one child. Ok, enough about that stuff.
On Saturday I started painting the nursery. We decided to go with green for the room. In the natural light we like it a lot, at night with the lights on in the room, it is really green. But we are happy with it for the most part. We are going to finish painting it soon.
Sunday was a great day, Baba and I went up to see baby Alexa. She was a month old on Sunday. We got some wonderful photos and baby Alexa is so cute. I got to feed her and hold her lots.
On the way home Baba and I stopped by Priscilla's house to see the chest that she has offered us for the baby's room. I am so thankful for the furniture, we are going to paint it white to match the crib.
So that pretty much wraps it up.

So I got an email yesterday
Yesterday at work I got an email around 10:30 a.m. from our social worker in Baton Rouge and it said she had some questions for me. I didn't really think that she had a birth mother for us but just happy to be contacted from her. So I called her right away and found out that she couldn't find our application. When we applied back in November or December, I can't remember, we applied on line and payed the application fee online. When I called down to make sure they had everything they needed, they had the payment but no application. I guess the online application didn't go through. I printed out the application and faxed it down to Baton Rouge. So they have had our application but the social worker couldn't find it right then. I asked her to call me back when she found it.
So yesterday afternoon she called back to say she had everything that she needed. So I feel good that everything is in place and that she is so good about contacting us. I wish I had some more exciting news but that's for now. We did purchase paint and are going to start painting the nursery today. I will let you know how it looks the color is called Crisp Green. A good gender neutral color. Baba says if it is a girl we can do pink accents and a boy brown accents. Either way as long as there is a baby in the room I will be happy.
