The chair, the chair, the chair

I am so excited to report that we have a chair for the nursery. We have somewhere to sit and feed, rock and hopefully sleep. The chair is so pretty it matches the walls perfectly. Here is a picture. The nursery is really coming together. I just have to finish painting the Jelly cabinet and we need a dresser and a little side table next to the chair. Then the nursery will be complete.

Furniture going, going, gone...

I am happy to report that the big dresser made its way to the consignment store this weekend. So the baby's room has a crib, and a chest of drawers in the closet. I put contact paper down in the drawers this weekend and I also started painting the Jelly cabinet. So the Jelly cabinet is white and the inside frame on the door will be green to match the wall color. We will also put the baby's initial on the door when we have a baby and a name. Hopefully, we will have a dresser in the room soon. I am actually going to register this Tuesday. So I will let you know how that goes. I feel like we had a very productive weekend, which makes me very happy.

Moving and grooving

Hi all, sorry for the lack of updates. I thought I would post and tell you what I have done to the nursery. I am actively looking for bedding, I have two ideas that I like but I am not sure. I moved everything that was in the baby's closet out of of the closet so we can move the chest into the closet. I need to take the cabinet downstairs to sand and paint. I also need to get the other dresser out of the room and figure out a new dresser. I framed the pictures that I wanted to frame and they look so cute. A Leo Leonni picture of mice, Frog and Toad and Toot and Puddle. I love the way they look. I am excited about my progress. I will keep you all posted.
